The aim is to establish an accreditation body by law, as of 1 January 2002, with two separate councils for the accreditation of higher professional education and university education. Accreditation will be a condition for funding, granting titles and certificates and for students to claim student aid. The Inspectorate will supervise the functioning of the system of accreditation.
